Pursuant to the Community Consultation Invitation regarding the development of the “Sustainable Energy Project for Agricultural Drying in Northern Vietnam” under the Gold Standard for the Global Goals (GS4GG), jointly issued by Vietnam Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC) and Climate Creative and Sustainability Consultancy Company Limited (CCS Ltd.) on 27 February 2025 and 24 July 2025;

In order to expand the scope of greenhouse gas emission reduction activities, improve the efficiency of clean energy utilization, and enhance environmental, economic, and social benefits for local communities, we hereby announce the following additions and revisions to the Project:

  1. Expansion of the project scope

In addition to the agricultural drying activities utilizing Volumetric Continuous Biomass Gasification (VCBG) technology, the Project will include a new component to support the adoption and use of high-efficiency household cooking stoves utilizing sustainable biomass fuels for households within the Project area.

This expanded scope forms part of the programme of activity “Sustainable Energy Programme for Cooking and Drying in Vietnam, which aims to:

  • Promote the efficient and sustainable use of clean energy for household and productive activities;
  • Reduce the consumption of traditional biomass fuels;
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants;
  • Improve indoor air quality and contribute to better public health;
  • Reduce household fuel expenditures and improve living standards;
  • Contribute to the achievement of Vietnam’s sustainable development and climate change mitigation goals.

To accurately reflect the expanded implementation scope, the Project title is hereby revised to “Sustainable Energy Project for Agricultural Drying and Household Cooking in Northern Vietnam”.

The Project objectives, implementation approach, and registration under the Gold Standard for the Global Goals (GS4GG) remain unchanged and will continue to be implemented as previously communicated, with updates made to reflect the expanded Project scope.

  1. Stakeholder consultation meeting

The date, venue, and format of the Community Consultation Meeting, as announced in the Invitation Letter dated 24 July 2025, remain unchanged as follows:
