To promote sustainable business practices and support Vietnamese enterprises in accessing green capital, the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) has officially invited Ms. Dang Hong Hanh – Co-founder and CEO of VNEEC – to join Working Group 2 on “Green Finance and ESG” as an Expert Advisor.
Established in 2010 and serving as an official partner of the Global Network of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), VBCSD, founded by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), has consistently played a core role in promoting dialogue and sharing best practices among the business community, the Government, and society. Entering 2026, facing numerous challenges and opportunities from green barriers in global supply chains, VBCSD has launched specialized Working Groups to accompany its members more closely and effectively. Prominent among these is Working Group 2, which focuses on “Green Finance and ESG,” carries a strategic direction for the 2026-2028 period, and is led by Co-Chairs from Deloitte Vietnam and Jardine Matheson Vietnam.
The core objective of Working Group 2 is to create a practical dialogue forum among banks, credit institutions, policymakers, and the business community, thereby contributing insights to refine ESG policies, sustainable financial mechanisms, and the development of the carbon market in Vietnam. To effectively implement these objectives, Working Group 2 has invited Ms. Dang Hong Hanh to join as a technical and expert advisor, acknowledging her prestige and extensive practical experience in this field.

Within Working Group 2, Ms. Hanh’s expertise will directly contribute to key targets, particularly in advising on the design of greenhouse gas emission reduction strategies towards the Net-zero goal. This knowledge will help shape feasible methodologies and decarbonization roadmaps, support businesses on their transition journey from “brown to green.”
The Working Group’s action plan for the next three years goes beyond sharing experiences; it aims for practical, evidence-based results: building an ESG-to-finance transition toolkit, implementing pilot projects, and conveying the market’s practical voice to policymakers. The companionship of CEO Dang Hong Hanh affirms VNEEC’s strong commitment to its mission of standing alongside VBCSD, working towards the goal of building a green economy for the Vietnamese business community.
