Projects have been issued approval letters by DNA – LOA in quarters 1,2 and 3 in 2008

In 2008, the CDM National Authority (DNA) of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued a letter of approval for 17 CDM projects by VNEEC as a Project Development Agency. Below are detailed information about LoA-approved projects.

On August 8, 2008, the National Authority for CDM (DNA) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued a Letter of Approval for 03 CDM projects developed by VNEEC. Below are detailed information about 03 LoA projects:

1. An Diem II Hydropower Plant Project
– Project owner: CTCP Song Vang Hydropower
– Project location: Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province
– Total capacity: 15.6 MW
– Total CO2 reduction is estimated annually: 45,127 tCO2 / year

2. The project of extracting biogas from wheat starch wastewater and using it for Quang Ngai Agricultural and Foodstuffs JSC
– Project location: Quang Ngai province
– Total CO2 reduction is estimated annually: 92,039 tCO2 / year

3. Binh Thuan wind power plant project No. 1
– Project location: Binh Thuan province
– Total capacity: 30 MW
– Total CO2 reduction is estimated annually: 59,043 tCO2 / year

On June 30, 2008, the CDM National Authority (DNA) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued a Letter of Approval for 09 CDM projects developed by VNEEC. Below are detailed information about 09 LoA projects that have been granted:

1. Nam Tha Hydropower Plant Project
– Project owner: Phuc Khanh Energy Development and Construction Investment Company Limited
– Project location: Van Ban district, Lao Cai province
– Total capacity: 34.0 MW
– Total CO2 reduction is estimated annually: 70,760 tCO2 / year

2. Thai An Hydropower Plant Project
– Project owner: CTCP Thai An hydropower
– Project location: Quang Ba district and Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province
– Total capacity: 82.0 MW
– Total CO2 reduction is estimated annually: 213,625 tCO2 / year

3. Khe Soong and Hop Thanh factory cluster project
– Project owner: CTCP Tien Yen hydropower
– Project location: Tien Yen district, Quang Ninh province
– Total capacity: 12.6 MW
– Total CO2 reduction is estimated annually: 31,305 tCO2 / year

4. Project of hydroelectric plant Yan Tann Sien
– Project owner: CTCP Cao Nguyen – Song Da Hydropower
– Project location: Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province
– Total capacity: 19.5 MW

5. Project of Dak Pône Hydroelectric Plant

6. Song Ong Hydropower Plant Project

2. Ta Trach Hydropower Plant Project
