On May 6–7, 2026, Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC) conducted a working session and specialized training program on greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory management for Phu My 2 Industrial Park and Phu My 3 Industrial Parks (IPs). This activityaimed to equip participants with practical GHG inventory knowledge and skills, enabling the IPs to proactively prepare annual emissions reports and establish a solid foundation for their transition toward eco-industrial park models. This initiative was designed to support and guide the implementation of GHG inventories, helping both IPs strengthen their annual emissions management practices in alignment with eco-industrial park development goals.
Phu My 3 IP and Phu My 2 IP are two key IPs located in Phu My Town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. Situated within Vietnam’s Southern Key Economic Zone, both IPs have been selected as pilot models for eco-industrial and smart IP development through 2027.

During the first day of the training, VNEEC experts provided updates on the latest legal frameworks and methodologies related to GHG inventory and mitigation. The training focused on guiding participants through GHG inventory across different emission scopes, while introducing digital technology solutions and hands-on practice for GHG inventory based on activity data and emission factors. These sessions allowed participants to accurately identify emission sources within their facilities.
On the following day, the training program further explored Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) processes. VNEEC provided technical advisory on improving GHG data aggregation and management systems. This support helps facilities not only effectively control their GHG emissions but also satisfy technical requirements and specialized standards tailored to specific industry groups.

A key highlight of the training program was its highly applicable practical exercises, where participants were guided to identify potential emission reduction measures for the cement industry. Utilizing specialized calculation tools designed for specific mitigation actions, facilities can now independently develop and implement detailed annual emission reduction roadmaps. The integration of theoretical knowledge with practical calculation tools helps participants understand the methodologies, as well as enhance their capacity to independently achieve environmental protection targets at the facility level.
Through this training, VNEEC continues to reinforce its position as a strategic partner accompanying enterprises in improving operational efficiency and enhancing their capacity to comply with increasingly stringent climate standards both in Vietnam and internationally. The training for Phu My 2 and Phu My 3 IPs has significantly boosted enterprise readiness for the transition toward eco-industrial and smart IP models, aligning with the global trend of green development.
