Invitation Letter on Stakeholder Consultation Meeting to develop Ca Mau 1B Wind Power Plant Project under Gold Standard

The Ca Mau 1B wind power plant project activity involves the construction of an off-shore wind power plant in Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province, Viet Nam with a total capacity of 88 MW. The project involves the installation of 21 wind turbines – generators, an administrative office area house and a 220kV transformer station (250MVA-22/220kV). The purpose of the project activity is to generate power using renewable wind energy and export to the national grid.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

To confirm the project’s contribution to environmental protection and sustainable development, we are currently cooperating with Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC) and Swiss Carbon Value Ltd. to develop and register the Gold Standard (GS) for this project.

We would like to invite you to attend the meeting “Public consultation to develop Ca Mau 1B Wind Power Plant Project under Gold Standard”

Time: 14:00 – 16:30, 10 November 2021

Location: Office of People’s Committee of Nguyen Huan commune

Program and consultation content:

• Opening, introducing delegates and meeting purpose.
• Introduction of project activities including project design, applied technology, objectives, scale, construction progress, operation plan, introduction to the Gold Standard mechanism, and answers to relevant questions.
• Communicating and collecting assessment of delegates in term of the socio-economic and environmental impacts of the project activities.
• Evaluating the project’s feasibility according to the criteria of sustainable development.
• Discussion of the monitoring mechanism for project parameters according to the sustainable development criteria.
• Discuss the gender equality.
• Discussion of collecting methods and responding to community’s comments on project activities in both construction and operation stages.
• Conclusion and agreement on meeting minutes.
