VNEEC supports the readiness to participate in the carbon market

On 6 March 2026, Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC) participated in the workshop titled “Enhancing capacity for readiness to participate in the carbon market in Vietnam”, organized by the Department of Climate Change under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Notably, Ms. Dang Hong Hanh, Co-founder and Executive Director of VNEEC, shared international experiences in carbon market governance and oversight, highlighting key lessons and best practices that could inform the development and implementation of the carbon market in Vietnam.

Moreover, the workshop focused on updating new regulations related to greenhouse gas emission reduction and the development of the domestic carbon market, while also introducing the national registry system for emission allowances and carbon credits. This provided government agencies, enterprises and relevant organizations with further information to better understand their roles and responsibilities in the upcoming preparation and participation process.

VNEEC will continue supporting government agencies, enterprises and relevant stakeholders in strengthening capacity and preparing for the operation of the carbon market in the coming period.
