Stakeholder consultation on the development of the Vietstar Waste-to-Energy Plant Project under Gold Standard for Global Goals (GS4GG)

Vietstar Joint Stock Company is the investor of the Vietstar Integrated Solid Waste Treatment Plant located in Thai My Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City (currently Thai My Commune, Ho Chi Minh City). The project has a waste treatment capacity of 1,200 tons/day and an installed power generation capacity of 20 MW, with commissioning expected in Q4 2027.

The project helps to contribute to efficient waste treatment while recovering energy, generating electricity and exporting into the national grid, contributing to environmental protection and in line with sustainable development goals.

To affirm the project’s contributions to environmental protection and sustainable development, we are currently collaborating with Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC) and Swiss Carbon Value Ltd. to develop and register this project under the Gold Standard for the Global Goals (GS4GG).
