VNEEC signs Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in developing carbon credit projects in the agriculture, forestry, and waste management sectors

On January 5, 2026, Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC) and Global Organic Clean Agriculture Group Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in conducting feasibility assessments and developing carbon credit projects for investment activities with potential for greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction in the agriculture, forestry, and waste treatment sectors. Under the MoU, the Parties agreed to cooperate closely in assessing technical, economic, and legal feasibility, as well as coordinating the development of carbon credit projects in compliance with current Vietnamese regulations and relevant international standards and practices. The scope of cooperation focuses on investment activities with potential for GHG emission reduction and sequestration, including afforestation, restoration of terrestrial natural forests, mangrove development, low-emission rice cultivation, bio-fertilizer production, and other sustainable agricultural and forestry models.

Through this partnership, VNEEC and Global Organic Clean Agriculture Group Ltd aim to progressively build and develop feasible carbon credit projects, contributing to GHG emission reduction, forest resource protection, and sustainable agricultural development, while supporting organizations and enterprises in participating in the carbon market in the near future.
