On the morning of June 25, 2025, within the framework of the ENTECH Vietnam 2025 international exhibition, ECOEYE Group (Korea) in coordination with Energy and Environment Consultancy Joint Stock Company (VNEEC), successfully organized a Special Session for partners in the F-Gas supply chain. The event marks a crucial step in the strategic cooperation between the two parties in the fields of environment and climate change, particularly regarding refrigerant recycling methods and the development of the carbon credit market in Vietnam.

Delivering the opening remarks at the session, Dr. Tang The Cuong – Director General of the Department of Climate Change, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, emphasized the importance of developing and transferring F-Gas recovery, recycling, and elimination technologies. This is crucial as Vietnam is actively implementing greenhouse gas emission reduction policies, building a carbon market, and fulfilling international commitments to phase out HFCs. He also highly appreciated the cooperation between ECOEYE and Vietnam in transferring advanced technology, contributing to promoting carbon market development and supporting Vietnam’s Net-Zero by 2050 goal.

At the session, technical experts from Ecoeye introduced the methodology and mechanism for generating carbon credits from F-Gas recovery and recycling activities. Simultaneously, representatives from GTC Vietnam and Sun-jin Environment (Korea) – ECOEYE’s partners – also introduced advanced F-Gas refrigerant recycling technology and the current status of F-Gas recovery and recycling activities in Vietnam. This technology allows for the efficient collection and recycling of used F-Gas refrigerants from refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) equipment. The implementation of this system will not only significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also create an important premise for developing carbon credit projects in Vietnam.
The event concluded with positive signals regarding the potential for cooperation between partners in the F-Gas supply chain in Vietnam and ECOEYE Group (Korea), with the strategic companionship and support of VNEEC.
